The Milan Edit

Set against the backdrop of Milan Fashion Week and Salone del Mobile, this podcast series brought together some of the biggest names in the world of design — including Marcel Wanders, Ross Lovegrove, Giulio Cappellini, and Maria Porro — hosted by Devika Khosla.

I worked across the entire season, taking the project beyond editing to shape its visual language, design system, and overall post-production. From pacing and framing to colour, sound, motion, and graphics, every element was designed to make each episode feel refined, cohesive, and premium.

The visual identity was inspired by Milan itself — its architecture, culture, design heritage, and unmistakable visual character — while also drawing from the design languages of The Third Space and STIR World.

Milan became a visual thread running throughout the series. In the background of the Intro, hand-drawn sketches reference the city's architecture, culture, and design; at the forefront, photographs of its most iconic places are layered with glimpses from the conversations and podcasts we recorded. The result was a visual system that connected the city, the people, and the world of design into one cohesive experience.

The biggest challenge was the environment itself. The episodes were filmed in uncontrolled, constantly moving spaces, with guests, people, and objects moving through the frame. Creating a polished visual experience from this required extensive work in colour correction, audio cleanup, reframing, and visual consistency.

The goal was simple: make every episode feel as considered and premium as the world of design it represented.

Design Democracy

Hyderabad 2026

Design Democracy 2026 marked the fourth edition of one of India’s prominent festivals celebrating design, art, and innovation. Bringing together architects, interior designers, product designers, artists, and creative professionals, the three-day festival featured exhibitions, talks, installations, and curated experiences.

We worked across almost the entire social media video campaign, creating a wide range of content designed to build anticipation, communicate the festival’s identity, and capture its energy.

The creative direction balanced bold, vibrant colours with a clean and minimal visual language — creating something that felt expressive without becoming overwhelming. Every piece had to feel distinctly Design Democracy while still working as part of one cohesive visual system.

Working on a festival of this scale comes with a different level of responsibility. Every frame represents the event, its community, and the standard of work it stands for. Our goal was therefore not just to meet the brief, but to push the visual language further.

The work was received so well that several of the new design elements and visual treatments we developed were adopted into Design Democracy’s broader design language — turning our contribution from a campaign execution into a part of the festival’s evolving visual identity.

Across these videos, you can see a deliberately wide spectrum of colours. The colour palette was designed to represent variety, diversity, and creative expression, while still maintaining a sense of cohesion across the campaign.

Each colour brings its own personality and energy, allowing individual pieces of content to stand apart while feeling connected to the larger Design Democracy identity. Rather than restricting the visual language to a fixed palette, we used colour as a tool to create movement, contrast, and visual rhythm.

The result is a system that feels bold and playful, yet structured and intentional — reflecting the diverse disciplines, ideas, and people that come together under the Design Democracy platform.

Season 1

The Third Space — Season 1, hosted by Devika Khosla, brought together a star-studded lineup of voices from the worlds of design, culture, and creativity — including Amit Gupta of STIR World, Divya Kapoor of Nicobar, Peter D’Ascoli, and several other prominent names.

Built as a high-end production podcast, the series demanded a visual language that matched the quality and depth of the conversations. Alongside White Mouse, we worked on the project’s short-form content for social media and YouTube, transforming long-form conversations into engaging pieces designed to stand on their own.

The challenge was to make a short-form video feel like more than just a clip from a longer episode. Every edit had to retain the essence, context, and value of the original conversation while creating enough intrigue to make the viewer want to watch the full episode.

A significant part of our approach was in the design and framing of every element. Typography, composition, transitions, imagery, and motion were carefully considered to create a visual system that felt premium without taking attention away from the conversation.

We also introduced Easter eggs throughout the videos — subtle details, references, and visual elements that reward viewers who look a little closer. These details became part of the experience, adding another layer to the content while keeping the visual language playful and thoughtful.

The result was short-form content that didn't simply promote the podcast — it extended the world of The Third Space into a format built for social.

The design language of each video was carefully tailored to the personality, work, and visual world of the guest. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all visual system, we incorporated subtle elements associated with each guest — their work, interests, ideas, and creative identity.
